It is my primary objective to be my client’s most trusted advisor through expertise, integrity and personalized service. I work with each client to gain a deep understanding of their financial situation in order to design and manage a financial plan and investment program that seeks to accomplish their goals.

I have over 20-years’ experience working on behalf of corporations and individuals. This experience gives me a historical perspective to pursue long term capital appreciation for my clients.

I strive to build a strong relationship where my clients feel secure to seek my advice for anything. It is my fiduciary obligation to act in the best interest of every client and their family – this is a responsibility that I live and breathe.

At Pence Wealth Management, we provide a concierge approach to wealth management with our highly skilled, personal team behind each of our clients. This includes working with your accountants, attorneys and other professionals. We have over 100 years of collective experience among our investment professionals. We draw upon the combined talents of 12 individuals and also the vast resources of LPL Financial (Nasdaq: LPLA)

Our investment philosophy is conservative by nature. Pence Wealth Management is one of the few independent advisory firms in Southern California that serves over 1.2 billion in advisory and brokerage assets through LPL Financial.

  • Founding employee and shareholder of National Retirement Partners, contributing to its rapid growth to be the largest independent broker dealer specializing in 401(k) retirement plans. NRP was acquired by LPL Financial in 2010
  • Formerly worked with 401(k) pioneer Bill Chetney at Reliastar which was ultimately acquired by ING in 2000

Personal life

As a Southern California native, I grew up in Capistrano Beach, CA and attended St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano, CA. I studied in Dallas, Texas while attending college at Southern Methodist University. Following college, I settled in Huntington Beach. Centrally located, Orange County is near Los Angeles and San Diego which is great for business.

When I am not in the office or traveling for work to visit my clients, I enjoy spending time with my family. I’ve been happily married for almost five years and have three beautiful daughters.

And when I can squeeze in a little extra time, you will find me on the golf course. Golfing has been a passion since I was nine years old. I was a collegiate golfer and maintain a scratch handicap. I’ve won multiple club championships and amateur golf tournaments. It’s not always easy to maintain the balance between family and work, but being out on the golf course brings me the dose of nourishment that I need to recharge.
